For faux stone patterns like marble and granite as i understand it they take a photo of an actual slab and that is what they use for the laminate so no worries about pattern repeats. We would love the real thing but would be impractical in our townhouse where we wouldn t earn the money bag. We hope to use it in our kitchen sometime soon. Its been almost 3 yrs now not a scratch or chip in it.

The last house i lived in a rental had a marble look alike formica counters. I guess i thought they would have been proved done such a thing if they re going to make it look like marble going through all that. A laminate alternative is a better investment for us. We used formica fx not the marble pattern though and yes its more pricey than some but i do like it. I discovered that formica had these granite marble look alike counters a year ago and my husband and i fell in love with it. But in person the countertops are a very affordable way to get a nice clean light look no they are not marble but they are pretty. I had white formica countertops in a house built in the 90s and it did seem rather easily period the stains number stayed there necessarily but they were there for a little while at least before they faded.

It even had a square edge. Yes these are formica calacatta marble.
